My Lord,

Government House, Victoria,

I have the honor to transmit to your Lordship the copy of a letter and its enclosures from certain landholders in this Colony to my address, and likewise a copy of the reply made to it yesterday.

The whole reasoning of the letter, no question appears to me to be not only grounded in error, but the most important points alleged in it have been contradicted, or are at this moment in course of contradiction, by the notes of many of the Firms and Individuals who have.
